Full Job Description and Compensation Package
We're hiring for the 2022-2023 school year!
Employment Status/hours: Blueprint Math Fellows are full or part-time tutors that help small groups of students
with highly personalized instruction in mathematics during the regular school day to increase their confidence in and
enjoyment of math. Fellows deliver planned, structured lessons designed to encourage student discussion and
conceptual understanding.
Full-time; Monday - Friday during school hours (typically 7.5 hours per day, start/end time dependent on individual
school schedule)
Part-time; Fellows typically work a minimum of 4 hours on a consistent schedule for a minimum of 4 days per week
Compensation Package: (see below for hourly by region)
- California Region - $22.00/hour
- Colorado Region - $18.00/hour
- East Saint Louis Region - $19.00/hour
- Nashville Region- $17.00/hour
Additional opportunities may be available for after school tutoring and Summer 2023 Math tutoring
programs.
Benefits: Full-time Fellows (minimum of 30 hours per week), 100% paid monthly benefits premium for
employee-only/individual coverage tier for medical, dental, and vision; benefits start on the first day of
employment. Full-time Fellows accrue paid sick and personal leave.
Discounted Master’s and Certificate of Advanced Graduate School Program(s): Blueprint is proud to have
an established a partnership with Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development that
will allows Blueprint Fellows the opportunity to obtain a Masters of Education (Ed.M.) and CAGS in a variety of
programs at two thirds of the cost.
Support and Training:
Both full-time and part-time Fellows participate in onboarding training and on-going professional development (paid). Part-time Fellows are permitted to attend professional development (paid) that occurs outside of an established part-time schedule. Fellows receive extensive support from Blueprint Site Managers and regional team members who provide weekly observation and feedback sessions, core lesson plans, data on student progress and support for classroom management. Training is comprehensive and continues throughout the year.
Requirement:
Enrolled in or completed an associates degree or higher.
Preferred requirements:
- Experience working with adolescents (or related field)
- Experience tutoring or mentoring youth
- A team-player with a strong sense of personal accountability and strong communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be flexible and deal with a certain amount of unpredictability
- The ability and willingness to go above and beyond to support student achievement
- No certification required!
